Fixed a few typo's on the bottom footer bar which read wesign instead of website design. Hopefully will push me up a little more. www.newtimesystems.com
So the last update to the site was the 23rd Dec, and I updated the blog on the 23rd as well.
Google went back on the 23rd and reindexed the site. I checked on the 26th or 27th and google's cache had been updated. Very, very good.
Also the changes have also pushed me up the rankings again.
Next I'm going to be getting the page title improved as "Home" for the home page isn't great.
Then I've got some more copy for webdesign to write as I don't rank for any website development.
Also update my dmoz listing as it needs to be clearer.

More Information
Another important change I made was to add my keywords to the bottom of the page, so I pasted the header text at the bottom:
Bespoke Custom Software Development, Websign Design, Website Maintenance, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) & IT Consultancy.
I've read that google see's the bottom text as a key part of the page therefore I added it after the copyright information.
So far so good...
Next I think I'll try adding some text to the website design page to see if I can get a rating for web design as I did a quick search on google and didn't appear in the top 30 pages :-(
Wow!!!
Google reindexed my site overnight!
It came back and reindexed within 2 hours, amazing.
This morning the pages have been recached.
Same rankings, but that was fast.

Reindexed by Google
The site now appears to be in googles updated cache, dated 18 December.
Today is the 22, so it took 24 hours for google to reindex the newtimesystems.com website after posting to blogger.com and four days for google to update it's main public cache.
Not bad results either,
"bespoke software bristol" from page 14 to page 3!
"custom software bristol" from page 15 to page 2!
Lets see how we get on with the latest changes to the title and the software page. Should be less than a week.
Next will be some artical writing to try and get a bit higher, also trying to improve rankings for website design and maintance and then if we can really get somewhere there will be some content and improvements for SEO.
I've now updated the page "software" to be called "http://www.newtimesystems.com/bespoke-custom-software-development/".
I've also changed some of the titles from:
"Bespoke Software Development" to "Bespoke Custom Software Development"
"Design" to "Software Design"
and
"Practices" to "Best Software Development Practices"
This is so the keywords are in the titles more often.
Any changes???
It's now the 22nd December and I'm tracking my SEO position within Google.
After adding the free1waylinks website to the bottom of the page, also three one way links to various website directories and this blog, I'm checking the status.
I have moved from page 14 within google - uk "bespoke software development" to page 8.
Google - uk "custom software development" is still on page 14, so no change there.
Google hasn't reindexed my pages so I'm going to try again by updating this blog to try and get it to revisit www.newtimesystems.com
I've got 61 links to my page from free1waylinks, so lets see how it changes.

Lets get started with some Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) Tests
After reading up a lot on Search Engine Optimisation I've decided to give Blogging a go to see how and if it improves the rating of my website.
I've also read the Google should reindex the site within two or three days after posting this blog. I'm using http://pingomatic.com/ to inform the blog spiders of this posting.
This is my first post and the content relates to my website www.newtimesystems.com.
I'm also monitoring to see if it'll improve any of the other searches which relate to Web Design and Web Maintenance, Bespoke Custom Software Development and IT Consultancy and IT Advice within the Google rankings?
Well here goes.....
I'll check back next week.
